Some traditions, such as school plays, Christmas pageants, and kindergarten graduation can be so chaotic and at the same time just so perfect in their innocent cuteness that we look forward to them every year. Here are some images from the Christmas pageant at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood, MA. which was presented on December 18, 2022. It was pretty much just like the last 100 years of pageants, but no one cared. And it will be pretty much just like next year's pageant and everyone can't wait to see it once again. Because tradition is so important. To the kids, their parents, and all of us who flock to see them each time that they are presented. They remind us of better and simpler times. They ground us in what is more important than money and being workaholics. And they help make us closer to our friends and family.
