The program included remarks from Rev. Veronica Truell; First Baptist Church in Norwood Rev. Amanda Warner; Emmanuel Lutheran Church Rev. Jean Luma; Norwood Church of God Rev. Michele Bagby Allan; First Congregational Church Ryne Deckard; The Link Church Dr. Margo Franczek; Coakley Middle School Principal Norwood High School recent grads; Surya Adeleye, Sawdah McCloud, and James Ugochukwu From the Norwood Police Department; Officer Geoffrey Baguma Chief William Brooks III Tony Mazzucco; Norwood Town Manager Also in attendance was; Massachusetts House of Representative; John Rogers and US House of Representative; Stephen Lynch Officer Buguma and Chief Brooks spoke passionately about recent events involving the police, how the Norwood police force is trained, and their commitment to serve the community. And, there was 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence.

77 imagesThere was food, music, and fun and of course lots and lots of family at the Norwood Pops and Free Cookout which was held on the town common on July 28, 2019, The food was supplied by the town and the entertainment was by the epic Natalie Joly and The Reckless Hearts. This was one of those days that everyone will remember for generations because we all slowed down and enjoyed the simple things, the important things, family.
